This project encompassed 60 miles of heavily-traveled limited access routes in the Harrisburg area and included the design and construction of PennDot District 8-0’s TMC and integration of all TMC and video management subsystems. The implementation of the video management system not only distributed video to PennDOT internally but also provided video distribution to other agencies and to the public. The video management system was integrated with CCTV to provide a single platform for the control of the cameras as well as the video/DTA wall for high resolution display of video imaged and traffic condition data.
