Wellington’s telecommunications division was selected for the Vision and Rehabilitation Tower because of a longstanding and successful relationship based on a history of success. Wellington was charged with all communications, infrastructure, video surveillance system, intrusion detection, and access control system for the project. The tower was a ground-up project that also included a parking garage, research labs, rehabilitation center, general office space, conference room, and surgery and procedure rooms that needed all connections back to UPMC Mercy’s existing hospital.
