The Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel is a four lane, 20 mile long crossing of the lower Chesapeake Bay. Wellington’s contract included upgrades to existing equipment and installation of new equipment of the Northbound and Southbound structures, roadways, tunnels, ventilation building, and two toll plazas, as well as seven miles of under bridge cable tray and associated power and communication cabling. Wellington also completed the fiber optic, control, and power cabling, the sign control and data acquisition system, structure foundations, and bridge mounted cable tray system.
