The Conemaugh Generating Station is a coal-powered plant located in Western Pennsylvania. Wellington Power Corporation was awarded the prime contract for the complete electrical, control and mechanical instrumentation package for the Desulfurization Project.

Wellington’s portion of the project involved providing multiple line-ups of medium voltage substations, switchgear, 480 volt distribution and equipment. Our company also supplied power, control and monitoring cabling throughout the desulfurization subsystems for two scrubber units, including limestone milling and the slurry producing system, as well as the required installation of banks of PLC controller cabinets. The PLC controller cabinets managed and monitored the desulfurization process through a SCADA and Instrumentation package.
